How much should it cost to replace water line pressure regulator?

Question by jopa: How much should it cost to replace water line pressure regulator?
There is a whistling sound that seems to be coming from the water line’s pressure regulator when the house water is used. Does anyone have an idea on how much it might cost to have a plumber replace it? It is accessible in the garage.

Regulators vary in price from $ 30 to over $ 100 depending on size. Whistling does not mean bad, try adjusting a little, before replacing.
